According to 2013 statistics, China ranks number 1 in use of mobile phone. USA ranks 3rd and Philippines ranks 12th. No wonder, a lot of us Filipino are addicted to mobile phone. From the time you wake up, when you go to school/work, when you eat, when you take a bath until you go to bed, your always holding your phone (mas madalas mo pa ngang hawak yang phone mo kaysa kamay ng bf/gf mo! umamin ka. kung di ka aamin, sige na ikaw na magpatuloy nitong blog ko! just kidding! XD). I will not be surprised if  you know your phone more than your loved ones.

Having said that, I'm sure on your phone you'll see this , G, E, 3G, H+ and 4G. But have you ever wonder what those letters and numbers mean? The image above, explains it well.

G stands for General packet radio service (GPRS) which has a speed of up to 128kbps ,  E stands for Enhanced GPRS with speeds of up to 384 kbps. H is for high speed packet access, H+ is evolved high speed packet access and LTE stands for long term evolution with speeds of up to 170Mbps. So next time, you'll know if you are connected to a slow or fast internet speed by just looking at the letters and numbers beside the signal indicator on your mobile phone.
